My Hard Drive's Making A Funny Noise

So I took it out to look at it.

Is this bad? (stumbledupon, actually)

No problem.
All that insulation packed around the bearings is also soundproofing.

As a computer tech, I had once to help some one who had a disk head landing...

You wouldn't believe the noise level.

Yet it is the only occurence I met in more than 20 years.
