The baby Hamadryas baboon—whose name is to be determined—is a sweet and active youngster whose wrinkly pink face and lively sense of curiosity remind us of why we count these primates among our closest relatives. The baby was born on October 26 to thirteen-year-old Simen (in photo to left, on right of baby) and nine-year-old Matara (left of baby), an excellent mother who has raised four young at the Prospect Park Zoo.
