I'm in agreement with Whit on this one.
Believing in any God is faith. NOT believing in any God is faith. Believing in creation a la Genesis is faith. Believing in the Big Bang is faith. Adam and Eve/Noah and his sons. Faith. The whole Theory of Evolution is faith. No one can prove any of it happened, so you have to choose what seems like the best option. It's good that you won't let any one tell you what you should believe. But, like Bruce said, shifting to the other extreme probably isn't going to put you closer to where you want to be.
