I'm new to this board and stumbled on to it when I Googled the term "Augie's Doggies". I enjoyed reading about your foray into the hot dog biz. I've long thought about doing something similar in my part of the world. I travel alot and I'm always in search of a good dog. The best I'm found is a little place in LaCrosse, Wisconsin called --you guessed it ---
Coney Island. What makes their product special is that they use thin little dogs of a high quality mixture.... sort of like what others might call Red Hots. But the key is that they steam heat the buns. Has anyone ever heard of this before?
