Chickenpox I think, York.
Smallpox is pretty much eradicated in Europe.

Horrible for her, but probably best to get it out of the way so young.

She's lucky to have Mum, Grandma and Great Grandma.
My neice is 15 now and still has Great Grandad (not sure on the other side, I don't think so though). I think it's lovely that children get to interact with the older generation more now that people are living longer.

Then again, in the past families all lived together, so the time they had was more intense.
Sorry - just musing.

Tess is so gorgeous. I love seeing her grow up. And reading about your lives on the Continent - so near and yet so different.

So is she in school? Part time? Full time?
Here she would be starting in Year 1 in September, having had an (optional) couple of months in Reception, following her birthday.

What I love is how you can recognize her features even in that first baby picture. There's no doubt that's baby Tess!

She's getting so grown-up looking. Shades of the beautiful young lady she will be.

hello Again! Today is the last day of my vacation! I was home 3 weeks but the first week was waisted because of the chickenpox. She still got some on her feet.... But we tried to make the best of it. We went to Zeeland, in Holland. A real kids vacation! ;-)
Monday we wet to the zoo and thursday to " De efteling" in Holland.
A very nice theme-parc for kids and grown-ups!

So you were using her as excuse, because you wanted to go play at De efteling. That's a pretty scary looking dragon.
