The artist was a drag queen and performed at Studio 54. He's not Ru Paul. He went by one name, e.g. Madonna, Cher, Yanni. He died of AIDS in the late '80s. The name of his song in Trading Places is "Do You Wanna Funk?" |

That's a very interesting guess, but no...Divine did not sing "Do You Wanna Funk" nor did he/she die of AIDS.
