I just made a point of not touching them. I still have some blotchiness, but no scarring.

P.S. Something else I just remembered that the dermotologist told me: direct sunlight is very bad for herpes outbreakes, so stay indoors until you are back to normal.

My personal preference is to avoid exposing myself to direct sunlight, so this is a pretty easy one.
