There is a lovely children's book about a moose that falls in love with a cow. It is based on a real life situation. Seems this could be similar - if he is still with the cows in the Spring. We and he should always be watchful of the bull however....

moosebugers?
When I was in Alaska, the people there told me they eat moose and caribou. Sort of like cow and deer. Apparently quite tasty.

I asked why? I was told, "Because you can barely crawl through that stuff but a moose after you - can run 25MPH through it ." |

The Taming of the Moose
Some time in Russian history there was a group of maurading bandits who had domesticated moose. They would saddle these moose a ride over the snow covered areas and raid other villages and escape unscathed. The moose they were riding were able to go through the deep snow so swiftly, there was no way any one could pursue.Ultimately this led to a law forbidding the domesticating of moose in Russia.
Also, moose turds are about the same size and shape as those foil covered milk chocolate Easter eggs. |

Welcome to the Cellar, banjobob.
![]() Interesting story, probably has considerable mileage on it. But I don't believe it. Moose don't move that fast in heavy snow and certainly couldn't outrun a man on cross country skis. The man better be armed when he catches up though.

Unless the moose is running in deep snow next to a groomed trail I've got to disagree with you xoB.
