Here are a couple of pics I took last weekend when we were on the new boat. I'll post some more down the track.

Aden was very tired here. He had to have a rest on my bottle of disco vodka.

Merc, my husband was thinking about buying a boat very similar to the one you have there, but our plans changed and we decided to go for something with a few more mod cons...so that I'd spend more time on it with him.

that boat of yours looks like it'd kick along. What size motor is that on the back?

225 4-stroke Yamaha. Purrrrr's... It is so quiet sometimes I have to go back to look as see if it is on.

We have lots of fun with it.

They are all neat boats! Having been a mermaid in my past life, my mouth is watering (pun intended) at your fun watercraft. Different speeds, different styles, different intentions, but I would have a blast in them all!

In following the news about Muslim uprisings in Niamey, Niger, I came across this pic.
It pleased me in several ways... design, decoration, size, cargo, passengers, etc.

Anyone know what this type of boat would be called ...

Looks like one of the designs for a grande pirogue du Niger (the river).
