January 16, 2008: Giant Spider

At 5th and Morrill, in Reno Nevada, there's what appears to be a giant spider on the roof. shiver I hate when that happens.

Thankfully, from ground level it's not a spider, but a beetle... VW Beetle.

Lot's of predators in Reno, but this one is benign.

it's not a spider, it's a bug! I would never, ever, have opened this thread if it weren't for the cheatsheet rollover thingy which assured me that, indeed, it was NOT an actual giant spider. Thank goodness!

There's a fellow here in Indiana who has one of those hanging from the trees in his yard. Pretty funny when you all of sudden come upon it.
