the rays, as expected, swept the inferior blue jays.
it was the blue jays 4th loss in a row with halladay starting.
2-6 over his last 8......all 6 losses paid a lot of money, and we've been all over them.

lincecum's game is still later on tonight, however, i have not touched it, based on the low 1.15 price.

for tommorow friday...........

chicago cubs vs st.louis cardinals
harden - carpenter

having to face harden, carpenter's win has a pretty good price on it.
although carpenter has a much tougher line-up to face, he still holds the advantage due to the fact that he's the absolute elite.

bet on the st.louis cardinals

lincecum got the easy win last night.
carpenter got the easy win today.
we've won our last 6.
we're 12-2 on this page.

la angels vs ny yankees
weaver - pettitte

these two teams are of fire, scoring runs in bundles.
the difference here is that weaver is pitching at a whole different level.

bet on the la angels

we're up to 7 straight wins now.
13-2 on this page as the angels outscore the yankees 14-8.
jered weaver giving up 3 of the earned runs..
the angels are without hunter and guerrero who are both on the dl.

baltimore orioles vs toronto blue jays
bergesen - rzepczynski

when the blue jays were in first place in all the major leagues earlier this season, and the canadian media was going on and on about the blue jays pennant race and the world series, i began to make extreme posts regarding the reality behind this very very weak team.
posts like this....

based on the above, it would be wise to bet against the jays for the rest of the season, regardless of who's starting.
especially those of you who reside in toronto who happen to always have a better price on the toronto loss than any other place in the world.
torontonians, you are blessed with terrible teams, take advantage of it.
bet on the baltimore orioles

our winning streak continues as the the orioles beat the blue jays again.
so far, this year has been so amazing.
if you had told me that we'd have these kind of stats at mid-season, i wouldn't have believed you, but here we are.
lets hope that the 2nd half of the season is as good as the first.
as far as the all-star game is concerned, i could really go either way.
the national league looks like they have a better chance of winning it than recent years.
for tommorow's home run derby, i'll be looking at fielder and howard.
mauer would be the huge underdog dark horse.

florida marlins vs philadelphia phillies
volstad - moyer

the marlins line-up should have a party facing moyer.
moyer's fast ball is about as fast as wakefields knuckle-ball.
volstad is pretty good.
good price under the circumstance.

bet on the florida marlins

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Pittsburgh Pirates vs San Fransisco Giants
Maholm - Lincecum

lincecum is 10-2, with a 2.33 era.
he leads all the major leagues with 149 strike-outs.
his best has been of late.

Bet on the San Fransisco Giants

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Kansas City Royals vs Tampa Bay Rays
Grienke - Shields

the royals have lost 7 of the last 10 that grienke has started in,
the rays are now 7 games over .500 after a slow start.
play-off teams play their best in the 2nd half of the season.

Bet on the Tampa Bay Rays

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

St.Louis Cardinals vs Arizona Diamondbacks
Carpenter - Garland

we're halfway through the season, and chris carpenter is still here.
his 0.87WHIP says a lot about how difficult it is to hit against this elite starter.

Bet on the St.Louis Cardinals

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Oakland A's vs LA Angels
Cahill - Saunders

i've had a lot of arguments about saunders this year.
lets not forget that there was a lot pressure on both saunders and jered weaver early on this season, as they we're the only 2 healthy starters that the angels had.
the pressure is now off, and saunders can prove how good he is.
i really like how he throws, and i believe that his career in the major leagues will be very bright.

Bet on the LA Angels

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

San Diego Padres vs Colorado Rockies
Geer - Jimenez

i've been watching ubaldo jimenez since he made his debut in the majors.
at 25, i can say that he's pitching his best stuff at this time.
his improvment has been consistent.
the rockies have an ace.

Bet on the Colorado Rockies

our record over the past while is 17-5.
lincecum pitched another gem, but the giants line-up only managed 1 run over 14 innings as the pirates won 2-1.
the rays beat the royals, although there were pitching changes before the game.
carpenter was perfect again as he keeps his bid on best starter of the year.
the a's beat the angels.
ubaldo jimenez got the win for colorado over the padres.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

chicago white sox vs baltimore orioles
buehrle - bergesen

bergesen suprised me, i didn't think he was that good.
imo, he's the best starting rookie out there.
the price on the orioles win is high.

bet on the baltimore orioles

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

oakland a's vs la angels
mazzaro - weaver

jered is now 10-3 with a 3.22 era and 1.12 whip.
he's just under a strike-out per inning.
better than the numbers would show, is the movement and velocity he puts on the ball.
weaver is one of the best starters in the game.

bet on the la angels

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

kansas city royals vs tampa bay rays
grienke - kazmir

so, a pitching change led to grienke's start moved on today.
i wrote yesturday about grienke's negative stats of late.
kazmir is a better pitcher than shields.
the price on the rays win is better than yesturdays.
the rays line-up is arguably the best in the major leagues.

bet on the tampa bay rays
