Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance", breaking all the records.
Step aside madonna, the world has a new pop queen!
Last year, she had 2 of the 3 greatest selling songs in the world. "Poker face"(9 weeks at #1), and "Just dance" But this year, she's gone a step further with "Bad Romance" Its already the most viewed music video of all time. Its the #1 song of the world so far this millienium! But its still selling, and threatens to become the #1 song of all time.

After having been forced to liseson to Lady Gaga's work I fianly get it.
She is a joke. Her songs make fun of the music industry and modern sexually with a straight face. I not saying that her music is beyond reproach, however, Lady Gaga's work is at lest tolerable. And the music video's are a deconstructions' wet dream.

Best selling? By what count? number sold? When we now have a single download retailing at 99c, it's hardly appropriate to compare it to the number on vinyl singles sales thirtysomething years ago. IMO

I like GaGa. As with Madonna, she's not a great voice; but, she's entertaining with her songs and showmanship. Bad romance has adventurous lyrics and an adventurous melody reminiscent of Holiday Road by Lindsey Buckingham from National Lampoon's Vacation Soundtrack. I always thought that wonderful melody was wasted on the comedy; so, I'm not surprised that Bad Romance is so popular. If you can recall the tunes to the two songs you can compare them here:

Sullage, you should do a little research before doing a small google and posting your findings.
"Crank that" was the most viewed in the world, until Lady gaga's "Just dance" came out...but that record was demolished within the first week that "Bad romance" came out... there is no competition regarding the most viewed video of all time. We're talking about a song that is at the top of the charts at this moment in time, so your wikepidia stas need to be updated before you start refering to them don't ya think?
