Ali, Limey - I had no idea either.
But then I don't think of that sort of thing really. I tend to take posters at face value. I was here while Mari was, although not for as long as others. She welcomed me when I first came and I didn't have any personal issues with her. It was right for her to go when she did, because things were becoming untenable. However I feel I have really connected with you, Sam. I know more about you in general terms and you have been both supportive to me and positive about your own situation. You've been honest in every other way, and let's face it, four years behind the curtain shows commitment. I'd probably have wanted to jump out and shout "BOO" long before now. Hey there new old-timer.

I would like to add that I think Jim has come a long way, also. He's proof that a person can take a look around, see what he needs to do to improve and then actually carry those improvements out. Way to go LJ - er JimHelm!

No avatars is the awesome. People can always put something on their profile. Back during a, um....(shhhhhhh) certain s-a-f-a-r-i time I remember how horribly annoying their site was. Ugh. You could barely read the comments through all the avatars and signatures and whatever else they had going on. Seizures is right! It was like Mary Hart's voice over there.
