Pastor says he'll void vote on interracial couples

PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- The pastor at a Kentucky church says he will nullify
a vote taken by members of his congregation that bans interracial couples.

That's all and good.
But then I read the comments and found this very appropriate.

If the church is typically composed of 40 individuals
and 9 of them voted for a hateful, bigoted policy,
that means that the church is pretty much 1/4 racist bigots; that fact
ought to make any racial minority or mixed race couple feel very welcome.

At this point in time the question of whether the church should
welcome mixed race couples isn't the core issue,
the core issue is whether the church is going to welcome those
who practice bigotry and hate in direct contradiction of scripture.

Either the bigots get expelled or the church in practice willfully harbors bigotry and hatred.
