Synchronized Skating
Was invented here in Ann Arbor MI. As entertainment during U of Mich hockey games. I've been tripping over the Hockettes for years at the rink, and thought what a lame name, they really ought to change it to something less "poor substitute for hockey"ish. but I guess it's steeped in tradition. Most of the local figure skating girls end up there at some point. And some of the adults from my classes who ought to be old enough to know better. Yes, there are older adult groups....
Anyway, just thought you might be interested if you were really, really bored.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synchronized_skating neither of my hockey players skate out of that rink any more, but one does have the Yost Arena (home to the U of M team) as his home rink They used the Jumbotron at the game last night, which was fun.

nose clips not req, since it's all surface work, no underwater maneuvers.
