I'm usually too literal.
If it wouldn't be funny when it's happening in front of me, it's not funny (except puns and wordplay, which is why I adore radio comedy.)

But sometimes that works in my favour.
If that had been Diz I would have laughed so hard I passed out.
I refer you back to my opening sentence, twitchy cat makes me laugh.
