I may be wrong to rank you so high as the teams directly below you look better overall, but you've picked up some key players that should produce consistent points for you.
You will lose against some teams below you.
Thanks whip. Any advice down the road?

Last night I dreamed about Fantasy Football. I believe it was after reading WHIP's post and the ratings - I was thinking about who I needed to get rid of and who to pick up. egads

Yeah, Drop Buffalo's defence, it will do you no good on the ravens bye week 8 as the Bills face the Jets in New York.
Jacksonville would be their prime replacment as they face the Bucs week 8. Next best is the Giants as they face the Dolphins.

Heh, that's awesome. I'm in the midst of a major life upheaval, and it turns out that my random FF team could win. Ah, the little things.

However, I'm on a spotty wi-fi connection until Tuesday--can I wait til then to bench LJ smith and have T.Gonzales starting every week?

Look, I don't even know if you have to, it might be like that already.
All I'm saying is when you get a chance to look at your team, make sure that beside the TE position, it say T Gonzales and not LJ Smith.
Not that LJ isn't worthy, its just that, overall,
you will get more points from TG.

Blessed Be

looks like i wont have to wait very long. she's down by 3 with Toomer and Burress yet to play. Monkey ballers, your name is mud. Clobble, you might want to start a quarterback that actually plays in games next week. if both of your guys are backups, pick one up from free agency.

Um... Okay. I dropped Russell JaMarcus and picked up Josh Booty? It said Booty plays on the 16th.

Booty's a better name anyway.

spode probably thought he had a lock with 115 points....but what's this?

Tony Romo

scores 42 points for jinx?!....she's within one point and each have a player left to play on Monday night! oh, the drama!. It;s 115 to 114. a shoot out, indeed. spode has T. Houshmandzadeh (WR)and jinx has S. Graham (K)left to play. It's a toss up. They're both Bengals, and play a tough Ravens defense......

no,no.....i mean you should pick up a quarterback that will start for his team. Your QB's are all backups that wont be playing on Sundays, and therefore...will score 0 every week for you.

Rex Grossman is out there. Matt Schaub, David Garrard....Joey Harrington?

I'd pick up Garrard and Harrington. drop your 2 qbs......then look at the defenses the 2 new guys play to decide who to start each week.

as I sit in the union computer lab waiting for my 10 o clock, I devote my entire time to studying fantasy football (no I'm not in the cellar league). I am a pretty much lock for my yahoo public league week 1 but in my custom league with buddies back home my own Rudi Johnson must outscore Edgerrin James TONIGHT. Oh the drama, anxiety that Fantasy football causes. You know it's football season when you wake up check player news reports every waking moment on the computer.

Hey, Spode lost 2 points at some point, putting him within 1 point of me.

Sorry, it's gonna have to be Grossman. I'm not giving up my name strategy. And hey, it got me the fourth-highest score in the whole league this week, dammit!

Give me a name that's better than A.J. Feeley, and I'll consider dropping him too. But you can forget that whole "decide who to start each week" nonsense. You're lucky I bothered to figure out how to trade for a free agent. I'm going to spank all of you without making an effort--that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
