I was stunned to learn -- after all these years -- that Gadd was the drummer on Van McCoy's "The Hustle". It's not like it's his greatest work or anything. But it's crisp work. It's right on. The Paul Simon sessions must have happened around the same time, because keys player Richard Tee was also on both "The Hustle" and "Fifty Ways". |
