I just don't see eye-to-eye with remaking any art... there are too many good original writers out there.
It is slack and pathetic. |

I really liked "Man On Fire," with Denzel Washington, but I haven't seen the original.
I thought that "El Mariachi" was much better than "Desperado." Desperado seems more of a remake than a sequel, to me. |

I just bought "The Big Clock." I'll let you know.
I thought "The Fly (1986)" was much better than the original. |

Sweet closing sequence to Mark of Zorro.

There's been too many to count on "Dracula" Pictures, but I thought "Bram Stokers" w/Gary Oldman was the best. For some reason I thought he was "hot" in that movie.

I thought the Coppola Dracula was not as good as most of the others, despite the special effects. But you're right, Dracula does hold up a lot better in remakes than a lot of movies ... I love the Christopher Lee versions, and the Frank Langella version ... even the Jack Palance Made-for-TV Dracula had it's moments.

I agree with you on the Christopher Lee & Frank Langella - something about their eyes - scary
