Yes way. They were playing at the City Market Saturday night, and apparently Billy needed to replace his octaver pedal. He was buying a shiny new Jimi Hendrix Octaver and a fistful of shorty cords for daisychaining such devices.

I always thought he was a bigger guy. He's no taller than me, and scrawny...

Oops - too bloody busy at work and should have posted this two weeks ago - but 7-9 Sept spent cycling 150 miles in two legs - Friday evening from Liphook (I had to join in after work) to Portsmouth and then on the Saturday 8th from Caen to Le Mans in France - maps below (follow the blue routes) and then a few photos to follow:

First leg was just about 30 miles for me - starting almost half-way because of the time - it was acharity run and we arrive at Portsmpouth around 9.15 pm - overnight ferry to Caen ferry port and then off at 8.00 am cycling all day 115 miles to end up in Le Mans around 8.00 pm! - a few photos from Caen onwards to the finish - I cycled with a pal I met on last year's ride around Dieppe, so photos include pictures of him as well - first the start at caen and then looking back towards Caen about 10 miles into the ride - pretty quiet roads in France:

Ended-up seeing both. Great shows, I was surprised how much I liked them and how talented they are (I have only been exposed to their studio work, that will be tossed immediately).
The only thing I can complain about is being talked to like a four-year-old (which they hate too) by malnourished, drunken, strange young women.

Went to a funeral. Stayed at a B&B and had the opportunity to visit "the farm". Jim took some pictures.

Jinx, NASA called...they said that having you continue to be hotter than the surface of the sun was fucking up their instrumentation, and they wanted to know if you'd knock it off.

I told them no.

Damn...your kids are getting so *big*. I really hate it when being a member of an online community starts making me feel old.

Honesdale, huh? I've probably got a funeral to attend in Honesdale in the not too distant future too. Weird.

Do you spend a lot of time up there Glatt, or just the once yearly visit with the uncle? Where abouts? My farm is 2-3 miles north of town on 191... I've spent almost no time there as an adult, but used to keep horses up there as a kid/teen.
The town itself it the same as I remember it, just some different stores in the massive store fronts (what happened to the Katz dept store?), Day's bakery was still there - just closed on Mondays unfortunately . I could drive around and look at gorgeous victorians all day...
I may take the kids up again soonish to do some railroad history schoolin', and jim is all ready to build a cabin next to the creek we were playing in... (in his spare time , 'cause the ones in the Cabela's catalog are just too damn expensive)

A lot of my extended family lives around there. My mom's from there. Aunt and Uncle live in Aldenville, near Prompton. And we (my relatives) have a couple summer cabins on a lake there. A few cousins live in the area (Scranton.) I've been going there since I was a baby. I even spent a whole summer there in college.

Honesdale has changed a lot over the years. They have a fancy coffee shop right on Main street now. Never thought I'd be getting a mocha or latte in Honesdale. It's in the Himalayan Institute on Main St.

We still stop in at Days and get sticky buns whenever we are there. I remember Katz's but can't remember when it closed.

How was the place you stayed? I'm probably going to be in the market for a hotel room in Honesdale, and the pickins are kind of slim.

I saw the Himalayan, I also saw Beans coffee shop or something - and several natural foods/gourmet shops. Crazy.
Do not stay where we did. I would stay here or here. This place also looked nice, but .

I've stayed in a few scary places over the years, but the salvation army shelter in Memphis and the B&B we stayed at were the only 2 places I've ever wanted to just turn around and walk back out of. Slept in the car instead of the shelter in Memphis...

April is in Chicago this weekend, so I'm doing the things I usually do when she's gone--sitting around the house and sleeping. I'm going to see Heaven & Hell (which is Black Sabbath with Dio on vocals, in case you didn't know) tomorrow night, which should be hella awesome.

I was up for two nights in a row this week, so Friday night I slept for 12 hours, and dreamt I was at wild party. In my dream, I was so tired at the party, that I had to find a bedroom to sleep in.

This morning, I had a delicious pepper-and-cheese frittata, bacon, and silver-dollar pancakes, cooked up by the handsome MonkeyBoy.

And in about an hour or so, I'm lugging some packages over to the main post office. I'd love to mail them from our neighborhood post office, which is the cute little historic one opened by Ben Franklin a couple hundred years ago...but for some reason they don't do packages, only letters (and not too thick at that). Argh, historic shmistoric; today I wish we had a real post office around here.

I used to go to that post office when I worked in Old City (at the 400 Market building). They're kinda of asshole-ish there.
