I think tetherball is pretty much gone. Kids have to find new ways to be cruel to their classmates on the playground these days.

Is tetherball like swingball?
We still have them here in that case. In fact Mum & Dad had one in a house they were recently sitting and spent one afternoon playing it with enthusiasm. Woke up the next morning to be reminded that they are both in their sixties and had been using muscles they didn't ususally use. OOOOOOW! No more swingball. But that was a house with a fully euipped gym and heated pool, so it wasn't too much of a hardship. |
