Give me a break.

The guy was passing out well before the cops showed up. Hard to say if he'd have died anyway from a possible overdose

400 pounds, loaded on cocaine. Cocaine causes heart failure. He tried to take on 6 cops. He's 400 fucking pounds for gods sake, I don't think he could walk up a flight of stairs without losing his breath.

Died from heart attack caused by cocaine/exaustion.

End of story.

Hmm... seems as though by the time the first cop started swinging the club, Jones was just about done for the day. Didn't seem like he was putting up ALL THAT much of a struggle after they wrestled him to the ground.

*sigh* I guess I'm going to naturally feel "some kind of way" when seeing cops beating up a black person. Just to be clear (and before anyone gets their knickers in a twist), this is N-O-T to say that the cops were racist/to blame, whatever. It's just a sad situation overall.

You can't see how much struggle he's putting in because it's covered by the car's hood.

It's obvious that he's resisting in some form because the cops are forced to move about to beat him.

If they just wanted to beat the shit out of him they'd stand in one stop and kick the shit out of him.

All he had to do was put his hands behind his back so that they could cuff him.

Hell why resist arrest in the first place?

It's not THAT hard to realize that if you resist arrest you'll get the shit kicked out of you.

Oh and it happens to white ppl all the time, it's just that they don't make a huge fuss out of it. White guy gets beat, he deserved it, black guy gets beat, cops are racists...got to love it. And no ladysycamore, this isn't directed at you at all. Just the way things are

I can't imagine putting my hands behind my back if someone was beating the shit out of me though. Totally goes against the instincts and adrenaline response (fight or flight remember?)

And I agree with Bruce. He attacked that officer. I'd have beat the shit out of him until he submitted too.

Also, I think a big factor for me is that I don't sense glee from the officers hitting this man. With the King video, I had the impression they "was havin theyselves a good old time" beating that man, and that, more than any other factor, is what disgusted me.
