You should go see it at the Dallas Musuem of Art...looks much cooler up close. And has helluva story that goes along with it.

I wish they had a better picture. I suspect much of the description comes from the legend rather than being obvious in the piece.

its a crocodile canoe!
TTTT it doesn't really look like either a croc or a canoe to me...but all 4 heads are recognizable.

That's what I'm saying. I'm betting the description comes more from the legend than the piece, but the picture isn't clear enough to show if that's true.
You've seen it, would you know it was a canoe if they didn't say so, or would you see a croc with four human heads sticking out? Knapping flint to look like an arrow head is so incredibly hard, making anything else with detail is mind boggling.
