barefoot... Now that makes a helluva lot more sense to me... Then just a bad sewer.

That cavern could have been washing away for a long time before the roof caved in. The making of that cavern may of been what caused sewer problems not long before the cave in. It's amazing how much soil water can move in a short time. After all the Grand Canyon was carved out in just a couple years.
