Good news: I impulse-purchased a jar of pumpkin butter at Trader Joe's last night. I had some on a toasted bagel this morning. It was yummy.

Bad news: I dropped the bagel in the car on the way to work and got pumpkin butter on my pants.

Sorry to hear about your nephew's death.

I tell people all the time... "Hit the damn deer! You'd rather fix that damage than the damage resulting from the ditch/other car."

They never listen. Oh, they SAY they hear me but then a deer pops out and there goes another car. The rule among trucks is to hit the accelerator and try to knock off the head for a trophy. Sure a new hood costs $5-10,000 and the rest can easily run into the $50,000 range but it sure beats a totaled truck and lost load in a ditch over a stupid deer. It's not your fault if you hit a deer but it IS your fault if you hit another vehicle or roll it over.

that's nothing. I dropped a Skyline Chilidog in my car the other day.

Yes. I WAS trying to drive and eat a chili dog at the same time. So?

Good news: Mr. Sweetwater's shoulder-to-wrist was soreness was diagnosed as tendonitis this morning, and the doctor gave him an Rx and shot to control the pain while it heals.

Bad news: This is one of his Christmas gifts. In fact, I bought 2 so we could play against each other with more ferocity. Santa may have messed up here.

Good news: I played a full game last night with no substitution and my knee is giving me exactly zero noticeable pain this morning.

Bad news: There is no pain in my knee because I could barely run last night thanks to this creeping death in my lungs.

The good news (for you all) is that I'll be off all next week, so very little if any Dwelling.

The bad news (for me) is that I'll be off all next week, so very little if any Dwelling.

Happy holidays to everyone!

Thanks for another year of fun and laughs and commiseration.

If Shawnee's not going to be here, I see no reason for the rest of us to be here either.

go to the library for interwebz. That's what I did when my system was down. You not only can surf the webz and lolcats and cellar at the library but you can meet interesting people, too!*

True. Also, they recently opened our new library in an historical hotel renovation...there are more computers and the atmosphere is lovely. I need to get pics of the place anyway, as I promised to post them sometime.

The good news is, we found the bat that had been reported being seen on our floor. The bad news is that facilities is going to destroy it when they come.

Of all the days for me to leave my camera at home.
