I just walked/trudged around for an hour, taking pictures. It seems to be tapering off. Ours isn't heavy. It's more of a powder. But I haven't tried to shovel any yet.
Neighborhood grocery store is looking pretty wiped out. Like looters struck it. |

Local TV spent all day covering it with roving reporters, and this exchange was notable:
We're live here in Mays Landing, New Jersey. Not many people braving the snow today, but here are some young women walking across the Wawa parking lot. Let's talk to them. Why are you ladies out in this blizzard today? "We're walking to the liquor store." Ah, so not many plans? "We're gonna get blitzed and fall asleep." A special snow night for you then. "No, it's our regular routine." |

LOL. Like the guys who drink through hurricanes. Meanwhile, here in South central PA Route 15 is also closed and 581 and no doubt 30. But my driveway is open. Just can't go anywhere!

Ha! made me laugh. Hope everyone is okay. It's pretty nice out here (although overcast right now).

All the major highways were closed at around 2:00 - I hear it is to last throughout the night so they can reopen for rush hour. Rush hour??? I'll be making a very slow move, at best, to the phone to call out. There will be no rushing.
Oh and even if the main roads are clear, I couldn't get out of my development anyway.

Fuck this motherfucking snow - I've had it! I've shoveled my driveway 5 times already and the shit is still coming. I can't reach high enough to pile the crap anywhere anymore and the goddamn plow just came through and buried me again. Fuuuuuhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

Just before it started in earnest last night, some big-assed snow blowers from western PA arrived. The Gov figured since there was nowhere to push it, they might have to throw it. The last time I saw one of them down this way, it broke down by my mailbox, trying to clear the hollow where it had drifted in 10 ft deep.
If this heavy wet snow was as light as the stuff we had last weekend, it'd be at least a foot deeper. We're already over 70 inches for the winter (6 inches more than Buffalo), and more coming Monday or Tuesday. Fuck groundhogs.:p
