Other people can care about whatever the fuck they want to care about. All I know is this: Chat used to be fun. It was a pleasant place where I could, from time to time, catch up with friends. Right now, it is an edgy, unpleasant place to be. Rather than a place to kick back it's a place to have your guard up.

I think this is a problem UT.

In my opinion, some of the people with 'administrator' powers have already demonstrated their desire and willingness to abuse their position.

This is nothing to do with PD. Simply the fact that if what you say is true then chat is only for those who get along with the admin. I didn't think that was in the spirit of this site.

I think it's disappointing that this situation should be allowed to continue.

But you said you don't chat, Ali. You said it was ruined by people pretending to be you. and you said if you ever did go in there you don't use your own name. So how does that put you in a position to protest/dictate terms? Sure, jim can be an arsehole at times -who isn't-, but he keeps the trolls at bay and has an amazing nose for their stink. Set a thief to catch a thief and all that..... plus he's there more than most. It may not be perfect, but what moderation situation is?
