My friend saw it in the forest where he lives. He didn't know what it was either.

So you and your "friend" were out in the woods, and close enough to the ground to see mealworms. Hmmm

Mealworms seem to be the pop stars of the beetle world. Incredibly popular and ubiquitous when young, unwanted when they develop into adults.

Did more search on mealworms to see what kind of beetles they become. Found out that they are edible for human consumption. I want to say yuck then I thought. Who on the Cellar eats mealworms?

I've had them before.
I think I bought them online. They very flavoured, spicy I think. Very crunchy. They were just a novelty items for me, I don't remember liking them enough to made a habit of it.

Found them but don't know how to link when using the iPad.
They were Bush Grub, Mexican Spice Crispy Critters.

Hagrid is a bearded dragon, I assume? Too bad he never met Yzma, our bearded dragon. She enjoyed mealworms as well. Alas, she departed after a long life and is buried on our property, with a proper grave marker.

Yes, of course, I would never suggest any impropriety like rooting in the dirt. Not me, that would be preposterous.
