Awwwwwwwwwww...... You are viable. 3 more weeks would be better, 6 more better than that. Thinking of you and your hubby and family, best of luck.

Thanks. It's getting close now. I can't wait...and Dazza is possibly even more excited. This will be his firstborn, and a son at that.

Dazz has mucho to be proud of. Love them like every day is their last. I can attest to that.

still more important than girls, huh?

not a personal criticism, just saddened that there is still this "excitement" in society over a son that there isn't over a daughter as firstborn....

Well, he's a man, and he wanted to teach the child how to fish and thought I'd be upset about him getting a girl all dirty. (we actually both wanted to girl to be honest because we have the two boys already)

I told him he could teach a girl how to fish. My dad did. My dad also taught me how to pluck poultry, slaughter livestock, shoot straight and drive a car, and speaking of cars, he taught me how to do a basic grease and oil change along with setting the timing and tappets and how to change the plugs and leads.

My Dad taught me a lot of stuff. I'm hoping Dazza will do the same for our child.

eta: That being said, I think it's pretty normal for men to want sons and women to want daughters broadly speaking. We bond with the child that's the same sex more than the opposite. Dr Phil (and a whole lot of other psychologists) said.

Why don't YOU teach him these things?

Well except for the fishing, I'll probably have to because Dazza doesn't do that sort of stuff. He's flat out hitting a nail into a wall straight.

There's other stuff Dazza will teach him though. The list is endless.

6 weeks to go today.

I spent last night in hospital. Had a BP of 160/98 yesterday when I went for my checkup. I'd been having some symptoms of high bp over the last couple of weeks, so was expecting it to be higher, but not that much. My normal reading is about 120/65.

They've done blood tests and urine blah blah. They suspect mild pre-eclampsia and have prescribed lots of resting and no more stressing. Visits to the hospital twice weekly from now on and possible induction in a few weeks time.

I'm so tired of this pregnancy.

I don't think I could go through this again.

My hormones are giving me hell lately and I can't stop crying over stupid shit.

If my BP keeps fluffing about it wont be 6 weeks anyway. As far as I'm concerned that's all for the good.

You're right though. I'll get there. I'm just feeling a bit fragile over the last few days.

Thanks Sarge. It's really nice of you to take the time to stop into my moaning thread considering all the troubles you have of your own atm. You're a gem.

I don't think there'll be anymore babies after this one. This particular condition is only likely to recur with any future pregnancies and in fact very well could be worse. We already have two wonderful boys. One more makes three, and that's a nice number anyway.
