Well, we signed the contract on the house last week. The inspection was on Monday, and nothing earth-shattering came up. If all continues to go well, we should be take possession before Christmas.
This is the third house we made an offer on. We got outbid the first time (in this market, can you believe it?) and the second time, the seller got cold feet and withdrew from the market.

This house was my favorite of the lot. I had to make sure my husband could cope with the slightly smaller back yard. It's in Ibby's old neighborhood, if you can believe it.

Hey, it's less to mow, and fewer leaves to rake.

I tried that logic on him; it didn't work.

I'll get my payoff from EEA by the end of next week.
It's a decent amount of money.
Not enough to make me secure here, but enough to do something special if I move home.

Someone please tell me how naughty I am for even considering it.
But I've been looking at the cost of flights. I could go to Philly and back for approx £350 inc taxes. 5 days trip, a couple of Dwellars to put me up, £150 for food & expenses.

I know, I know. SO irresponsible.
But heck, when would I ever get it together to do otherwise?

Let me dream a while.
Then smack me back into reality.
(then I'll look at flights to Kenya and not tell you :p)

We here in Philly refuse to put you up, for making such an irresponsible choice.
