1) Did you make any New Year's Resolutions? If so, what was the most unusual/interesting? More this, less that, yadda yadda ..... ah, yes, more quality time with Mortimer, the pet snake, in his twilight years. He's rather had the thin end of the stick for a while. Must be in his last legs too as he's around 20 years old.

2) Flamingo or Peacock? Peacocks for the colours. But I did recently buy a print of Audubon's illustration of flamingos. And there are the flamingo croquet mallets in Alice in Wonderland too. So it's a close call.

3) What is the best two digit number? 99, with a proper Flake.

4) coffee or tea? COFFEE. Or green tea when in Central Asia.

5) What does the smell of coconut remind you of? Coconuts and....? Gorse bushes.

6) There's a weird time warp and you're stranded on a desert island with Albert Einstein, Malala Yousafzai, Robin Williams, Marie Curie, Arnold Schwartzenegger, Marilyn Monroe, Neil Armstrong and Ellen DeGeneres.
They're all the same age. You have wood and the means to make fire. Who do you kill and eat first? Arnie. Most return on effort. But you'd have to slow - cook him.

7) Would you rather do a Parachute Jump or Scuba Dive? Scuba dive for the slow and wondrous.

8) What is your favo(u)rite thing with wings? Molluccan cockatoo.

9) Which close family member is driving you the most nuts right now? My dead dad.

10) Do you delete your internet search history regularly? Nope.

11) What's the most impressive celestial event you have witnessed (eclipse, meteor shower, northern lights....) Solar eclipse (felt more than saw as there was dense cloud cover, but the chill and sense of doom were unforgettable).

12) You have to choose one variety of cheese for all your cheese needs over the next six months. Which do you choose? Arran Dunlop from our local creamery.

13) Which part of your body is least average in size? Boobs, prolly.

99 covers everything from a cute CONTROL agent to whispered pectoriloquy.

Why do I not know about Mortimer? I feel like I should know about him. Maybe I did and forgot.

What kind of snake is he?

(fucking love snakes)

I think you did know and forgot. I'll try to remember to post a pic when I get home. He's a Californian Corn Snake.

In view of another thread here, your corn snake's age had me wondering. I asked and Google answered. Turns out it's been asked before: Do older snakes get dementia?? Posts #16 & #17 mention corn snakes. Nothing definitive though. The last post has the best guess.
