Limey, cherish the 25ish great years that many of us never have, rationalise the 8 years was a small price for the preceding 70, and be grateful you don't have to make a choice anymore.

I know, xoB, and I do. And mostly it’s OK, but in these extraordinary times I could do with her help.

My sisters have been getting on The Marine's case because the road he walks each day is pretty sketchy. Yeah, he could fall but he needs that time out of the house and if he does fall he's not alone in the woods somewhere. Dad and I talked about it and I gave him another option but I'm not gonna stop him.

Hey Flint, I hear you too. And even if you do drift away from shore, the water amplifies sound so we'll hear you if you holler

As for myself, I'm losing my motivation/ability to stay in touch, which I was the worst at to begin with. I'm not good at telephone, my socialization was always to occasionally be in the same room with people. It's like drifting away from shore, the old life is getting smaller and more distant.
You should make yourself sign in to a Cellar zoom meeting (see the "Virtual Forks" thread.) You can just sit and observe, you don't have to talk if you don't want to.

Hey, I can't help it that my webcam is inexplicably placed at the bottom of my laptop screen instead of the top...

tbh I don't know what a "virtual fork" is. It's like a skype meeting??
would it be advisable to maybe change the name of the thread??

It is a zoom meeting trying to re-create "plastic forks" a real life meeting which I always avoided one way or another. This is easier. Limey is your guide.

Yeah, just a normal Zoom meeting. The name is a reference to an in-person get together some Dwellars pulled off about 15 years ago.
