I: Raiders of the Lost Ark

We borrowed this from the library over New Years because the kids had never seen it. The front of the DVD says "Indiana and the Raiders of the Lost Ark"

Stupid George Lucas. can't leave stuff alone.

Seriously. See, I went to see Raiders with Mark B...who was the cutest senior (edit: I was a sophomore), and a football player, at the school in town ( I went to a different school.) All my friends had a crush on him and we found out he worked at Speedway, so we'd go in and visit with him. His dad, a cop, and his mom were friends of my parents, too. Boy was everyone mad when he asked me out. My mom even let him take me on a motorcycle ride, unheard of...but he was trustworthy (as far as she knew wink wink nudge nudge)and from a good family.

So I'll never forget seeing that movie, and it was just Raiders of the Lost Ark.'

ANd I hated the sequels, especially The Last Crusade. My ex and I walked out. It was horrid. [/tangentbutthat'sokit'smythread]

My boy LOVED the movie when he saw it a week ago. He knows there are sequels, and I keep telling him how bad they are, but he wants to see them anyway. I suppose it would be a life lesson for him that the sequels almost always suck, but I want him to hold on to the glow of Raiders for a while longer.

Plus, Temple of Doom is scary. They rip out that dude's still beating heart.

Is he old enough for The Godfather? There's the rare case of the second one being even better than the first one, which was pretty damn good!

So, so wrong. Raiders was just Raiders of the Lost Arc. Just becaue they've retrospectively added the Indiana Jones tag, no reason for that to affect the 80's release listing.
