OK, I'm in the right place. This board has people who actually read something that isn't pixellated!

I envy those of you who have books that "do the rounds" in your families. My family doesn't read anything but TV listings. My parents were readers and I've even tried bribing my kids to read, but my husband actually told me once when I had been reading a lot that I was "being antisocial." Humph.

LOVED Garp.

I've just realised why I've been singing Turn and Run by Neil Finn all week.
I mean I often sing his songs, but I've been singing the same bit

Here, with the amended lyrics:
Quote:
You cold killers of innocence
Against us there's no defence
Your flash and your wickedness
Will surely bring you down again
Somehow we must stay afloat
Won't give in to the Undertoad

Some things you will never know
You can't break our love
So there.

lol, I know, glorious isn't it? Sometimes the Cellar is my dose of sanity for the day...which doesn't speak awfully well to my mental health, but there you go

So, then Undertoad . . . . why Undertoad? Do you sense the Undertoad? Or is it you? Or . . . . ?

And the Dali lama looks like a used car salesman, but superficial appearances are deceiving.

We had a saying in my family much like, "The Undertoad is strong today." It was, "Mom didn't take her meds today."

I loved that book, and have been meaning to read more of his stuff. I think you can learn from fiction Merc, learning isn't always factual in nature.
