I went to my bank today (a credit union, actually) and gave them a ten-dollar roll of quarters to put in my checking account The girl said, "I'll let it slide this time, but just so you know, we charge a 2% fee for depositing rolled coins." "What? You charge me money to deposit legal tender into my own checking account?" "Yes. Brinks charges us. They have to unroll it and count it..." RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT. My credit union is charging me to put legal tender in my account. Bend over baby. It's only just begun.
