I am a cowardly cat lover.
Too cowardly to post here anyway!

Pearl is giving you the big hairy eyeball and look of disapproval.

Pearly hair is 1/4" short, and it is pleasant to find it, because it reminds you Pearl is around. She never slobbers, but she will lick you to death with her tiny tongue. And she will sneeze in your face, and others in the room will laugh at this.

beest's hair is kind of OK to find around for the same reason. except when it's in your food.

At least my dog doesn't bring in half-killed rodents or birds and leave them goring up the kitchen floor.
Nor does he go find the pile of newly laundered clothes and bedding and liberally spread filament-fine hair all over them. Lots of things not to like about cats:p I am jesting (somewhat). That said, I genuinely find cat hair more troubling than Pilau hair. It's too fine and clingy.

Cats poop inside the house. On purpose. With their owners' blessing. Need I say more?

It's okay monster, I'm with you. Except for the part about cats being better. Cats are just as awful. What they lack in slobbering they make up for in clawing apart everything you own.
Mammals are gross. Present company not excluded. The only reason I put up with a handful of humans in my house is because they will talk to me and cook me dinner sometimes. |

I love almost all creatures great and small. Except for yappy dogs. Snarly dogs. You can keep them, but I don't HATE them because they're pitiful.
I love this dog who loves my nieces and wouldn't hurt a soul except in defending family. Animals, while often a pain in the ass, are a gift from FSM, imho. Who said it better? Ladies and Gentlemen, Conway Twitty. Oh. Ahem...sorry, I mean Walt Whitman. I think I could turn and live with the animals, they are so placid and self contained; I stand and look at them long and long. They do not sweat and whine about their condition; They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins; They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God; Not one is dissatisfied-not one is demented with the mania of owning things; Not one kneels to another, nor his kind that lived thousands of years ago; Not one is responsible or industrious over the whole earth. ― Walt Whitman |

The only job our dog has is to get me up early and out
for a jaunt in that quiet, darkest time before sunrise. This morning she out did herself. A sliver of a moon with Mars trailing behind, Jupiter, bright as only Jupiter can be, and the first onset of the winter night sky... Orion and Sirus. Central Oregon has clear skies all year long, but here in the Willamette valley we get to appreciate the seasonal changes. Damn dogs, they're of no use at all. |
