It's more than a word, it's what's for dinner.

BigV----! You know me soooo well!

Actually, haven't been getting ANY. Remember the professor? He's baaaaaack. He's kinda rubbing my nose in my poverty and inability to write a decent paper. Round and round we go...

[unsolicited advice]

Just starve the mf of what makes him tick: attention. Ignore him to death. I guarantee you'll be better off for it. Just walk away clean, man.

BigV--you are so right and so very, very right! Lots of attention, ego polishing, the worship of most of his female students, MY worship and awe, my sheer joy at being at least ON his list of people who matter to him (after his wife, two daughters, mother) on and on. The fact that I haven't let go yet makes me look suspiciously like a masochist. I'm in therapy. If I don't figure out all my 'daddy' issues pretty damn soon--I'm going to crash my car into wolf's hospital and make them take me!

You'll have a hard time getting it up the steps.

Someone has already tried.

Maybe in your experience, but not in mine.

Tastes salty. Don't think it doesn't. Plus, will put your eye out.

Really, don't beat yourself up about this. And stop listening to the commitee in your head. Second on BigV's msg. Dr. Smallpenis has serious problems; he's not worth your heartache. He's accomplished much, yet the insecure bastard wants more than his fair share.

If this is still a problem, is it practical to change schools? Maybe it's too much to ask of yourself to have him around especially if he's part the program you are in and you have to deal with him academically.

You go girl!

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. Do you have to do any more of this kind of writing? If so, go out and buy a copy of either "Cliff's Notes" or "Sprinks Notes" for WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF. These Notes have exactly what instructors ask for. Yes, it's too late for that paper, but if you want to learn how to do that sort of thing, you can see it in print on a play that you have read. Or, just go to the bookstore and skim the Notes in the aisle or at their coffee shop.

Or, for the next analysis you have to write, you can skim the Notes before reading the book and then you know what to be looking out for. You don't want to plagurize the Notes, but absorb the ideas and write yourself.

Oh how I miss the Monarch notes. I always thought they were better than the Cliff's.

Proof positive that there are no longer any standards for English: I got an A+ (I'm not making that up) on my suck-y paper. I'm stunned. And, pleased. But, there can't be any standards anymore.

Oh, well! Gotta take the good where ya can, right?

I am always very highly critical of what I write.

The only time I can be honest about something like that is if I find something years later, read it, and realize, "Wow, that just totally fucking rocked." Then I have a hard time putting together in my head that I actually wrote that.

Congratulations, Bri!

You got what you deserved. Don't go blaming the teacher. Take a little responsibility. And a bow. Way to go.
