Well, that's what it's supposed to look like. (There's a clue.)

Yes, exactly. I thought the ham bone would give it away. (This was taken at the end of the night and most of the wound and scab effects were by then ground into the carpet.)
But there is one real scar visible on my knee from a mountain biking accident. |

You were a "patient" for a medical/emergency drill of some sort.
edit: Uh, never mind. |

Unfair or not, I hold you to a somewhat higher standard glatt. I regret that I must reject your answer. You are partly correct, but missing an important element.
Please try again.

Hmmm
Hundreds of flash bulbs going off in the distant stands at a night time sporting event. Edit: Nah, it's not that. |

KA-billions of moths. Correct!
nice assist glatt. nice shot zengum. Two more for context. The bats were out that night too. I like the second picture. Kinetic, frenetic. What is the appeal of the flame for the moth anyway?

Cool pictures! Especially the long exposure one.
Why do moths do that? I've seen some prolonged debate on it, the leading theory seems to be that moths navigate by the moon, flying either straight toward it or at a fixed angle relative to it. If it is straight toward, then as soon as a they see a light the buzz straight in. If they are trying to keep it at an angle, say, 30 degrees to starboard, they will start to pass the light and spiral in towards it. Either way they find the light pretty fast. |
