the greatest mistakes made by superbowl contending teams is not resting key players, and getting them injured.
there is absolutely no reason for the saints to try at this time.
except for the Vikings being 10-1. ( homefield advantage being what it is)

also.....the colts have rested players in the past, and always lost in the playoffs.....the year they beat the bears in the superbowl, they kept them in.

rhythm is key

what makes you think either team will be in the nfc final for either record to count.
if one of them makes it, they'll be at home.

the season the colts won the superbowl, 15 starters were resting since week 1....most came back after week 13, very well rested, so yeah....you gotta rest if you wanna win the superbowl.

why don't you look at your own cowboys there.
2 years ago, for no reason at week 16 or 17, you did not rest your players against my eagles, which resulted in 2 major injuries just before the play-offs.
i'd like to see how good the saints would be without brees, or colston or shockey, or lets try the vikings, without, lets say adrian peterson....you see, neither team would be able to compete.
at 11-0 and 10-1, home field should be the last thing on your mind

well, its reality.
history shows that when a team goes 10-0 or 11-0, the rest of their season is more often at .500 or below, ending their record at 13-3 or 12-4.
it translates into 1 thing and one thing alone... resting ..wether thats on the sidelines completely resting , or on the field playing at 25-50 percent effort and risk.

the redskins have won their last 3 games against the spread very easily[against cowboys, eagles and saints]
in the betting world, thats as good as winning each game 50-0.

money would be of greater priority.
money wagered on the nfl is almost all on the spreads.
i can't afford to consider anything else really.

Did NO rest the 5 dinged up guys on defense they were going to yesterday? I'd say it is a good idea to rest any nagging injuries if possible. I'd be less supportive of breaking the rhythm of a good offense late in the season.
