Here's an interesting bag, 'cause you never know when you'll meet something that needs hammering.

They might recognize your imprint after a few brawls though, maybe a nice anonymous Thor's Hammer?

Kidding aside, I assume the Harley has a strong throttle return spring? Pretty nice-looking grips. I like the skull endcaps.

You object to the throttle boss? I had it on the 03 Yamaha and loved it. The biggest issue I had on the big trip last year was my hand going numb. I do have the throttle return knob but it takes a minute to tighten as you're riding. I just have to change the angle of my wrist to use this thing.

I misread your post, digr. There's no spring. There are two cables with little brass thingers.. There's a name for them but it escapes me at the moment.... You adjust the forward cable to increase or decrease the return strength. Took me a bit to figure that out. Once you have the grip attached, and throttle cables adjusted, you loosen the two screws on the end of the grip, and adjust the angle of the throttle boss.
The clutch side installation was the scary part. You have to glue that on. The brake side just slides on and gets held in place by the switch housing. Removing the blue grip on the clutch side required the use of my dremel with a cut off wheel. I sliced it open like a fish. Then I threw it disdainfully into the bin. Installing the new grip: 1. Sand the bar clean of the old glue. 2. Sand the whole area with 80 grit to make a receptive surface for the glue 3. Clean with windex, clean the inside of the grip. The grip is thick soft rubber inside. 4. Take a deep breath 5. Remember to align the skull the way you want it 6. Sploodge the glue into the grip, immediately schmear it as far in and thoroughly as you can manage quickly. 7. Cram the grip up the bar as quickly and smoothly as you can. The instructions say you have 6 seconds once the air is gone before the glue sticks. I got one good shove and it didn't move again. Fortunately, it's on far enough that you can't tell that I could have maybe got it 1/4-1/2" higher up the bar. The rigid chrome part of the grip is such that there is no wobble. I also replaced the battery and air filter. I got a lot done today.

"disdainfully"? Are they that bad functionally, or just the appearance you distain?

I'm trying to find a gas door cover that matches, but I'm having a hard time of it. I also want mirrors... but I think I'll save that for my birthday list.

This. They make one for the road glide, but I can't find one for this bike. The skull is called the Willie G.
The gas cap is under that door. You unlock it with the key, and it comes open toward you. The actual gas cap is just a black plastic screw on type.
