We don't use 'bird' at all, except in the sense of 'flipping the,' which means something else entirely.

Chick over here is common when referring to females.
Chickee, Chickiebabe etc Its used to be a bit derogatory, but its more widely accepted now as an endearment as such. I always says "chicks" or "chickie babes", but that could be coz I am a bogan |
