The first website of my new small biz try is up. This site took about one hour to create and that's the whole point. $299 for a single page with a menu JPG or PDF. It's all that small pizzerias need, so the search engines pick up with phone number and address as authoritative. Search is local now!

The black and white photo with RED SIGN is very effective.
Is that just for "Charlies" or can it be a default for your sites ? |

I want to personalize each site, even if it takes only an hour to put together.
Having a photo of the actual storefront is part of the idea -- something I'll try to do on every site with a business that has such a storefront. You want people to recognize them. Now, in the case of Charlie's, after I looked at the photos I took, it occurred to me that their location is their biggest asset. They are right on Philadelphia's very heavily-traveled Roosevelt Boulevard. People who drive the Boulevard see Charlie's every day. And if they drive it at night, that neon will be the thing they remember. In fact Charlie's does all of its business at night -- they open at 4PM. And they're a tradition -- they've been open since 1946. People's families have eaten here for generations. Families that go so far back, their kids only have black and white photos of them. So, now, look at it again with ALL that in mind -- where can you get traditional pizza on Roosevelt Boulevard at night? |

It's good. Simple and elegant, and covers all the important details.

If you have a place with a bigger menu that you want to be searchable, so people can find a buffalo chicken stromboli on rising sun avenue... it takes a little longer to build that site.

Being mostly ready for Christmas. Just finished the cake yesterday and only have one more present to buy and I'm done. I might even get to the post office today! Also, I've got everything ready (except for my personal clothes) for our camping holiday which starts next Wednesday.

You might have to explain what popperonis are. I don't think we have those in Colorado. Do you have any way to determine if they have any increase in business as a result of the website? That would be a useful tool, for you and for the business. |

The rest of my family are playing with their indoor RC flying things. They are happy and not squabbling. Some of them should be in bed. tough! They squabble in their sleep, I prefer this, white noise and all.
