skiing in the snow at spring mountain today. I tried snowboarding, and I can do it, but it's too much hard work. I'm on the chair lift up to the big hill right now

Just kidding Jim, I think it's cool. I've never tried a snowboard, and can barely ski. But sledding is fun. Do they have a sledding hill?

Not today But , Yesterday I Got to drive a Locomotive !!!!!

I have been working around these things for YEARS , Ridden on a few , sat in a few cabs ( bad weather ) , but I got to DRIVE !!!!

It's Spring (really !) in the Willamette Valley

The camellias are starting to bloom out
Skunk cabbage heads are up in the creekbeds,
Bulbs are sprouting through
Grass has turned true green
Buds are showing on the trees

Nothing on the lilacs yet... They know better.
We sometimes get a cold spell in February

I did not wake up to find my balls submerged in magma.

Hell...if that does not make me thrilled to death...I don't know what could. (not that I have ever woken up to that before...but If i did I have no doubt that i would be REALLY UNHAPPY.)
