Good news, we're getting our move to Maryland paid for by my new employer. They hired a full-service mover to pack up all our belongings, haul it 2 1/2 hours away, store it for two months, then cart it all to the new place when we find/buy it.
Bad news, it's still a huge amount of work! Just sorting through everything, giving stuff to charity, fixing up the bathrooms, replacing sinks & faucets, redoing carpeting upstairs, throwing out piles and piles of crap that should have been ditched years ago...

I've only ever moved three times, luckily only within a 50 mile radius. However, I hope it helps to mention that it helped me to adopt the mentality of "Okay, do I really neeeeed this?
With that, I went from a total collection of belongings fitting into a 15' box truck, to fitting into the back of my Chevy Tracker. And I'm much happier for it.

The good news is my immune system has repelled the invaders from my upper respiratory system.
The bad news is that the muscles used to cough them out are very sore after three days of continuous exercise. It is a worthy tradeoff.

The good news is I had a very nice time during my vacation.
The bad news is that Human Resources tells me (after I got back, although the boss was supposed to tell me before) that I went 6 days over my allotment. I'm pretty sure they are wrong, because I single-stepped my calendar along with checking V-days on pay stubs and I am under by 2 days, at least. I am awaiting a meeting with the HR director on this, but I am likely to get a one-week paycheck on Friday.

Me, mostly. I think. Okay, I don't really know. But I will check my numbers against what HR tells me.
What I do know is that every day I fill out a sheet with my swipe in and swipe out times. At the end of the pay period I hand this over to the boss and make a copy. Unfortunately in this instance, as soon as I get the paycheck, I check my log against the payouts for Regular, OT, Holiday, Vacation, and Other, and if it's correct, I toss my copy of the sheet. I do not know if the boss saves the originals.
