no suprise in pittsburgh, as the penguins go undefeated at home, beating the red wings.
game 7 is up in the air... a perfect scenario for this stanley cup. carpenter got a no decision, as florida won. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* boston red sox vs ny yankees wakefield - wang neither pitcher can be trusted. the deciding factor here are the yankees bats who out-class the red-sox line up. bet on the ny yakees *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* texas rangers vs toronto blue jays millwood - romero watch out torontonians, here comes baltimore to steal that 4th place away from you.... last place seems innevitable. bet on the texas rangers *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* la dodgers vs san diego padres kewshaw - leblanc this game pays a fortune. despite some of you being familiar with kershaw, the fact is, leblanc is a superior pitcher. the dodgers, until manny comes around, should play out around .500 bet on the san diego padres *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

nice pay-out on the padres-dodgers game as san diego won 3-1.
the jays game was postponed due to rain, but we're still on for tommorow, as the same starters should be game. wakefield beat wang. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* boston red sox vs ny yankees penny - sabathia its been a long time since brad penny was on his best game. sabathia is back to his almost perfect self, and will get the easy win here. bet on the ny yankees *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

so texas got the win in that millwood-romero match-up a day late.
the red-sox swept the yanks. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* stanley cup final / game 7 detriot red wings vs pittsburgh penguins detroit is out-classed here... that might sound weird to some of you, but lets take a closer look at who is who...... goalies detroit osgood 36 years old pittsburgh fleury 24 years old defence detroit lidstrom 36 years old rafalski 35 years old chelios 47 years old pittsburgh gonchar 35 years old letang 22 years old goglioski 22 years old forwards detroit datsyuk 31 years old hossa 30 years old zetterburg 28 years old pittsburgh malkin 22 years old crosby 21 years old staal 20 years old as you can see, there's a huge difference in age between these two teams. wether they win or lose this game 7, this stanley cup is about the kids, not the old men. in the future, when you look back at this penguins team, you'll get a better grasp on how great this team was. there's no way that the penguins can keep these players...the salary cap will force them to get rid of one of these guys come next season, and then another the year after. i'll take the future over the past any day. they have the wings as the heavy favorites, so lets go after the money on the kids. bet on the pittsburgh penguins *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Shuddup! Well I was rootin for the wings for no reason. If P-burg wins then I guess at least the flyers can say they were beaten by the champs.

what a perfect day...
the penguins won the stanley cup by winning away in game 7. lincecum pitched a complete game shut-out. the blue jays lost their 3rd game out of the last 5 halladay's started. halladay got injured. as i said...perfect. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* la angels vs san diego padres saunders - geer saunders has a great chance here at home to patch up his recent errors over the 2nd weakest team in baseball [after the jays]. bet on the la angels *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

saunders pitched pretty well out there as the angels won 9-1.
worthy of mentioning are the 3 home runs hunter hit in the game. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* toronto blue jays vs florida marlins tallet - johnson sweep sweep sweep. poor torontonians. its like tossing a blue jay off the cn tower with a ball and chain wrapped around its legs, and then watching it trying to fly. nothing can stop the blue jays from hitting the bottom. bet on the florida marlins *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* la angels vs san diego padres weaver - young jered weaver is the real deal. all you need to do is watch this guy and you'll understand. bet on the la angels *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* clevland indians vs st.louis cardinals lee - carpenter chris carpenter leads all the major leagues with his 1.23 era. and to think his velocity still has room to grow. bet on the st.louis cardinals *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

the marlins completed the sweep, beating up the blue jays 11-3.
lee outpitched carpenter for a 3-0 win. jered weaver pitched a complete game shut out as the angels won 6-0. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* philadelphia phillies vs toronto blue jays hamels - romero this will be the blue jays 5th loss in a row. it'll be their 18th loss in their past 25 games. the worst in the major leagues in that span. the problem is...its gonna get worse. to no suprise of course, as they are the worst team in the majors. bet on the philadelphia phillies *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

the free-falling blue jay, with the ball and chain around its leg, hit the wall, limiting the speed of its fall, but there's still a ways to go.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* colorado rockies vs tampa bay rays cook - price i must admit that i'm a fan of this 23 year old pitcher price. a fear one would have at placing their money on him, is that he's on a pitch count, and will not pitch further than the 7th inning. the rays bullpen remains elite, while their bats are out of this world. i've been going on about how their first 4 bats are the best in the majors... upton, craford, longoria and pena. funny thing is, number 5 and 6 are zorbist and bartlett, who are batting .318 and .376. the team is young, and their farm system is top of the line. the yankees and red sox are still gonna need to do some work to compete against this superior rays team. bet on the tampa bay rays *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

where do you want them to go?
i can understand how upset dallas cowboys fans are after they realized that their team sucks, but lj, you want your team to move? sure they're gonna have another bad year, but at least you've got a new stadium to be disapointed in. i say, let them stay in dallas.... its not like the mavs or stars are doing any better.

the rays, as expected, swept the inferior blue jays.
it was the blue jays 4th loss in a row with halladay starting. 2-6 over his last 8......all 6 losses paid a lot of money, and we've been all over them. lincecum's game is still later on tonight, however, i have not touched it, based on the low 1.15 price. for tommorow friday........... *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* chicago cubs vs st.louis cardinals harden - carpenter having to face harden, carpenter's win has a pretty good price on it. although carpenter has a much tougher line-up to face, he still holds the advantage due to the fact that he's the absolute elite. bet on the st.louis cardinals *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

lincecum got the easy win last night.
carpenter got the easy win today. we've won our last 6. we're 12-2 on this page. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* la angels vs ny yankees weaver - pettitte these two teams are of fire, scoring runs in bundles. the difference here is that weaver is pitching at a whole different level. bet on the la angels *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

we're up to 7 straight wins now.
13-2 on this page as the angels outscore the yankees 14-8. jered weaver giving up 3 of the earned runs.. the angels are without hunter and guerrero who are both on the dl. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* baltimore orioles vs toronto blue jays bergesen - rzepczynski when the blue jays were in first place in all the major leagues earlier this season, and the canadian media was going on and on about the blue jays pennant race and the world series, i began to make extreme posts regarding the reality behind this very very weak team. posts like this....
