So that part of my initial post was correct. Honey is equivalent to HFCS on that level. In fact, HFCS is more similar to honey than is regular corn syrup. But the bee's mouth does in fact dissolve di- and poly-saccharides from nectar and pollen into monosaccharides, so it does matter that it was in the bee's mouth. And, while not stated directly, the implication that all sugars, including those not mentioned in the post are equivalent was incorrect.

Faye my Diabetic Educator says that sugar is sugar, no matter what you call It. I'll grant you that honey is better for you than HFCS, and I would rather they use Bee vomit for our sweetening needs than HFCS.
God made Honey, man made HFCS. Who are you gonna trust?

If you are diabetic, and your only concern is your blood sugar level immediately post-digestion, then yeah. Sugar is sugar is grains is starches is fructose is all carbohydrates, even the tiny little fraction of it found in celery. It's a numbers game.
But if you have digestive disease, or any of a host of other diseases that are tied in with your body's ability to process, filter, methylate, alkalize, and run its other seemingly unconnected processes in the presence of long-lasting, persistent high blood sugar instead of a brief spike... then what kind matters. |

Oh, I forgot historically they generally made chocolate milk day old milk then later from skim.
I imagine there's at least a dozen choices these days.

That's cool. NEPA has some good stuff going for it. Do they sell farm made ice cream there too?

This is bottled in NYS, I think. I should talk to my cousin hes always thinking about ways to make his dairy more profitable. I think PA is a stricter state when it comes to food regulation.

In the summers when I visit a lake in the Honesdale/Carbondale area, my family members often disappear to go to the dairy, and they come back with milk and ice cream, in containers with no labels. I have no idea where they are going but they aren't gone for that long, so it must be in the area.
