I prefer to think of positive things, but the absence of negatives makes me happy too. Some of these things I don't suffer are close calls, and some of them are longshots. Each of these situations that don't apply to me makes me happy.

I'm trying to count my blessings today.

I'm not in Iraq or Afghanistan.

I'm not in jail.

...

I thought this list would be longer. I'll keep working on it.

I've got a job from now till I head out to Wyoming in March!

On that note, anyone here had any experience in the wildfire/controlled burn field?

*skips about doing the happy happy dance*

The little bout of depression that's been bothering me seems to have lifted. Yey. Am able to concentrate on my work again and not crippled by social insecurity.

Oh, and this is day three of seriously not smoking, no cheats at all. I am still using the gum, but that's a whole heap better than inhaling shit into my lungs. Two days in a row now, I have woken up without mad cravings. From 1st Jan til day before yesterday ( I think) I was half stopping, but then cheating if I was with someone who smoked (like having maybe half, or one cigarette in a day).

I am feeling confident now that I can do this.

Oh yeah, and I am sooooo looking forward to revision and exams being over so I can spend a bit of quality time with D. Just been flying visits lately. Last exam will be over in 5 days time, yey!

My car, which wouldn't turn over when I tried to leave last night, just started right up.

I'm thinking maybe it hadn't "clicked" all the way into park...it was as like times when I've stalled in gear, then you can't start it until it's in park or neutral. Battery is fine...everything else worked. I did try to move the shifty thingy, but to no avail. So, after getting a ride home last night and a ride in today...I thought I'd give it a shot.

Thank you thank you thank you. Couldn't have juggled a car repair right now.

Minifob, who was mildly sleep-deprived for a variety of coincidental reasons, took an almost four-hour nap yesterday, allowing me to clean the entire house top-to-bottom. It was awesome.

OMG, if I had four hours to clean, it would barely make a dent in the piles of shite around the computer! The problem is, if I have four hours, I don't use them for cleaning! Are you nesting?

Ha! No, not yet. I was mostly scrubbing the bathrooms and mopping, because those are basically impossible to do with Minifob around, plus moving the Christmas junk back up into the attic. I do nest, but usually it's entirely useless stuff like constantly rearranging clothes in the drawers.
