In the brief moment befor emy internet blew up this morning, I read one post on facebook.

Quote:
Thank you for all your prayers and positive vibes sent my way. It will be a bit of a recovery time, so please keep them coming.

For those of you who don't know I just had back surgery. My breast cancer came back in my spine on the L4 level. It proceeded to grow there until it split the bone in half. The surgery went well and once the staples are removed, radiation will begin.

I'm on the road to recovery. Didn't think I'd be relearning how to walk at my age. I haven't been near a computer, but when I get home I will catch up with everyone. I'm feeling the love.
Fuck this shit to fucking hell and back. This is not the friend with breast cancer about whom I wrote in a nother thread, this is the second one, a friend with whom I cross paths occasionally. I see her occasionally at my youngest's school where she is now the boss lunch supervisor, I see her occasionally at the high school -he son dives. Same sport, different gender child.... when I stepped down as president of the preschool, she took over. She had been the president several years before with her oldest. She is the nicest most caring person who everyone wants to hug. when she had her mastectomy, she strapped pillows around her to protect the tender area from the enthusiastic hugs of the little ones. Can't stop the tears this morning. fuck this shit

I'm sorry, but I can't get past feeling this is the end of her road. Pessimistic, I know. I want to hope and believe, I want to. Maybe it will be easier once I've seen her again. I saw her not too long ago, she looked great. I suspect the surgery quickly followed the discovery making this sudden.

FUCK CANCER! I'm in awe of many of the victims, moving on with grace and dignity, while as a bystander I want to collapse and cry.

Hate to see this sort of facebook update ... sorry, monster. I hope your friend will do well. If this f'ing disease has to met, bone is better than other places - some women are doing well with bone mets, counting their time to recurrence in years rather than months. I hope that's the case for your friend. She sounds awesome.

@foot - sorry to hear about the side effects. Keep on, though - glad you have some of the intended meds effects as well as the unintended.

What is pissing you off this time?

My shitheel, cat-thieving old bastard of a neighbor was mowing his yard at 8:15 this morning. It's Sunday!

That's ok, though. Because it's a very simple thing to change from where I park GrandCherokeeOne now, to fifteen feet outside his bedroom window.

He bitches that the teeniest little sound wakes him up/keeps him up, and he can't get back to sleep.

Did I mention that GC1 has an exhaust leak? In the Y-pipe?

Let's play, catnapper.

I'll mow that early on a Sunday. IN AUGUST, when I'm trying to get it done before the 105 degree temperatures of the day hit.

Office depot. After setting, waiting on road repairs. I get to the store and needed to make a bathroom brake. Lady met me at door and took my paper work for pickup of new printer.
Well after my break, no one knows wtf. She went to lunch. Well it worked out after the cluster fuck. I'll not even bring up wal-sucks
