Thanks. He's reticent to do it for fear of the recovery time. Not sure specifically what he's getting done, but he's stalled at the, He has to call to make the appointment for the surgery, stage.

I got rained on and the fog was so thick that i decided to abort the Parkway ride, and head for lower roads.

Took a couple interesting pit stops.

Yeah. That doesn't do it justice. 20 ft visibility, i reckon.

My full bladder made me stop at Bear Creek Lake. Pretty.

This is about 1/4 mile of sunflowers along the road.

Haywood smokehouse.

I'm about to go check in at Harrahs in Cherokee. Maybe play a little black jack tonight.

Weeeeee!

Skyline is no fun when you can't see shit, but at least the lower elevations are still pretty nice. Good luck at the tables.

The world series of poker is in town, so I'm at the holiday Inn express. . My bike is in the covered parking garage of the casino, though. I was losing at bartop poker, so i tried slots. Lost another 15 on the wheel of fortune game, but won $200 at the monopoly machine. I cashed out immediately. Cleared $63 including drinks and tips

It is hard to believe you only drank $137 in liquor. I would have thought it to be much more considering you didn't get any Monday.

And why am I a Mook and the other is G-man dude? Man you hoit my feelings dude man and I don't need no stinking map for my home turf although once I was like where the hell am I.

Then we are in a town with one grocery store and two gas stations and he wants to stop at a bar for a beer. Ha ha he he ho ho. What a Mook. Ha ha he he ho ho.

Oh the Mook thing was on another forum. I hadn't been in my pottery kit yet and I slipped up on where I was.

Cuz, we're bros. I can call you a mook. Gman i just met the once, so i can't call him a mook yet. And i get the sense he's not a mook. An architect type, that guy. Showed me buildings he helped design in town. Pretty cool.

Worst hotel ever last night. Serves me right for riding until 9pm and then taking the recommendation of a waitress. No fridge or microwave in the room. All the trash cans in shared areas full to spilling. Then the power goes out at 8 am so i get nice and sweaty loading the bike. Microtel in Bryson City.

That's ok, I'm putting it down as counterpoint to the good hotel luck I've had otherwise.

Well, I'm home. Did a lot of the above.... Waiting for the rain to let up.

Made a couple new friends

Rode the Tail of the Dragon

Saw a lot of fog filled valleys

Just as I got home and was unloading the bike, a bat got in the house. Welcome home! Took 20 minutes to catch him and throw him out the window.

Avoid bad luck when you see a bat by saying:

Airy mouse, airy mouse, fly over my head.

And you shall have a crust of bread.

And when I brew and when I bake,

You shall have a piece of my wedding cake.

I opened all the windows, locked the cats in a room, tried to herd him to the open door... Finally gave up and swatted him with a broom, grabbed him with my hanky and tossed him out. Gently. I expect he lived.

That's cool that they have photographers along the road to take your picture.
