Can that barrel attach to that receiver? That's an AR-style receiver with what looks like a standard AR mag well...

I doubt the AR mag well is being used for anything except maybe a place to keep a small stowage box. I think the .50-cal box feeds from the side into that big gap.
I've got my suspicions about this anyway -- there doesn't seem enough infrastructure in there to handle .50-cal forces. Best see how nearly this resembles the Barrett Light Fifty.

The rear of the upper is round-ish, and the rear of the receiver is squared off-ish.
I'm doubtful as well, but, machinists can work miracles nowadays, so...maybe, I guess. A Barrett might come out cheaper after all the machine work to make this, er, work.

Big Dick Diplomacy. Our air defences are pretty strong and mutual destruction is not a win. Tunneling like the Brits did in WW I is not practical, so the only other way to be a threat is underwater.

On second look, that two days is spent underwater, not is flight.

My question is. Why the need to be a threat at all? I know the world is a dangerous place, and that we need to defend our self's. But that thing is made to start a war.

Mutual assured destruction. We are not going to attack Russia if we know they can take us out and there is nothing we can do about it.
We had peace under mutual assured destruction for decades, but then the US developed missile defense systems. Our destruction was no longer certain, only probable. So Russia had to invent a way around the defense we had created. We are back to a stalemate again. It’s actually a good thing. |
